Sober Story - Violet Golembiewski
Greetings!!! My name is Violet Golembiewski and I am a recovering addict! As of October 28th, 2018 I will be celebrating 1 year clean!!!
My heroin addiction progressed over 3 years resulting in shoplifting, prostitution and pretty much any negative thing you could imagine. When I hit absolute rock bottom I realized enough was enough and started seeking treatment and looking for help. Over this past year I have completely reestablished my life and I could not be more thankful. I was just recently hit with a secret indictment from charges from the beginning of October of 2017 for heroin trafficking. Why they have waited a year I will never understand but I am so thankful to be sober minded while dealing with this. Even though it has knocked me back a few steps it will not stop me from traveling down the path of recovery.
It has opened my eyes to what I am meant to do with my life which is to be an Addiction Counselor! It has even inspired me to start my own business Soapriety where I donate All my profits to local non profit recovery organizations! I understand how it feels to be at rock bottom, and feel alone and I just want everyone struggling with addiction to know they really aren’t alone and it will be okay as long as the effort has been made.
